✎ More about Jonah Hill. In college, Hill began writing his own plays and performing them in the Black and White bar. His plays developed a small following and helped him realize that his true desire was to act in films. His first leading role was in the Apatow-produced comedy Superbad. He turned down a role in The Hangover so he could work with directors Jay Duplass and Mark Duplass in Cyrus. He was also in negotiations for a part in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, but this did not go through. He received his first Oscar nomination for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his role in Moneyball. He co-starred with Channing Tatum in the film 21 Jump Street. He was nominated for his second Academy Award for his work in The Wolf of Wall Street.
