✎ He played high school basketball for St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. He joined the Cavaliers in 2003 as the first overall draft pick. He quickly emerged as a league star and concluded his first season by winning the NBA Rookie of the Year Award. In 2010 he signed for Miami Heat in one of the most controversial free agent decisions in American sports history. In Miami, he would capture his first NBA championship in 2012, and followed that with another title a year later. In 2016, James would lead the Cavaliers to their first NBA championship. He’s often regarded by many as the greatest of all time. He’s the all-time NBA playoffs scoring leader. He has also amassed fourteen NBA All-Star Game appearances. He has four NBA Most Valuable Player Awards, three NBA Finals MVP Awards, and two Olympic gold medals.
